Regular grooming not only makes your dog cleaner, more hygienic and feeling more comfortable but also contributes to a longer and healthier life. We offer a full range of grooming services, from a quick freshen up to a fully indulgent nose to tail groom. At all times your dog will be safe and loved when in our care.

Initially we will discuss with you the style and services you are looking for and which is best for your dog. A full groom will take approximately one and a half hours depending on breed and coat condition and includes;

Bathing, Conditioning & Drying

Our professional Hydro bath system circulates a warm, massaging shampoo solution tailored to your dog’s coat type, giving full deep coat penetration. This provides a superior bathing and cleansing experience, ensuring optimal coat and skin condition in a comfortable environment, particularly in the winter months! If required, we will also condition your dogs coat to help restore its natural lustre and shine. We choose from a range of coat drying methods to suit the individual dogs temperament and coat type to make sure your dog is relaxed at all times.

Grooming, Styling & Trimming

Grooming helps assist the natural shedding of your dogs coat and we are expert in brushing, scissoring, clipping and hand stripping. We will style your dog to your requirement and can offer advice on groom styles to suit your dogs body structure, coat type and lifestyle. Whilst grooming we observe and give you feedback on any abnormalities in your dogs coat and skin we find, such as sores, bumps and lumps, all of which are so easy to overlook in day to day life.

Nail Trimming

Most dogs don’t naturally wear down their nails fast enough to keep up with nail growth. Long nails are the most common cause of chiropractic problems and can contribute to joint pain and stiffness. Using our skill and experience we can often clip nails shorter than you can at home. Most dogs don’t like their nails trimmed and if ever your dog gets stressed then we will not continue trimming and advise that a visit to a veterinary practice is your best option.

Ears & Eye Cleaning

We take particular care with ears and eye areas which are particularly sensitive areas and need to be cleaned regularly to help prevent infection.

And finally….. We will spray a delicate spritz of our own special ‘doggy perfume’ finish and add a fashionable bow – but only if you want it!

Whilst your dog is in our care we will always treat it with love and care and at the outset can either agree a collection time or we are happy to call you when your dog is ready. We take great pride in providing your pet with a relaxed and enjoyable experience and will always give you honest feedback following each appointment, including advice on grooming techniques you can carry out at home between appointments.

Microchipping & Kennel club Petlog registration

Microchipping is a simple, safe and quick procedure. A tiny capsule, the size of a grain of rice, is inserted just under the skin between your pets shoulder blades. This ‘chip’ contains you and your pets details and in the unfortunate event that your pet is lost, once found allows for the animal authorities to reunite your dog with you.

From the 6th of April 2016, all dogs must be microchipped and registered to an approved database.
