Happy to help and advise
How long will you keep my pet for?
We make appointment times to minimise the amount of time your pet is with us in our salon to minimise any anxiety your dog may feel being away from you and their familiar surroundings. Following our initial consultation we will provide a guide time required to carry out the grooming work agreed. A full groom will take approximately one and a half hours.
What should I do before bringing my dog in for its groom?
It is best for your dog to be walked before arriving at the salon, releasing some energy will help make the grooming process easier and more enjoyable. Also allow your dog to go to the toilet making their time inside the salon more comfortable.
Will I have a choice of styles?
Most definitely – We will discuss your likes and dislikes when we meet and we can help advise the most suitable options taking into account your dogs breed, body structure and coat condition. We have lots of photos to help you visualise the end result, some of which we have put onto our gallery page. Our pricing will reflect the work carried out and will be advised at the outset.
Can you de-matt my dog?
Mats are nasty entanglements of hair that may involve both the topcoat and the undercoat, including residual loose hair, dirt and anything else which your dog has gotten into. Matts can be quite damaging and even painful for your dog and need to be removed. So as not to cause unnecessary stress and discomfort we will only allow a maximum of 30 minutes dematting time and then you have the option to continue the de-matting at home or arrange a further appointment. As an alternative we can clip the mats off. When we meet your dog we can see how much work is involved to remove the mats and discuss the best option for your dog.
What if my dog misbehaves?
If we cannot safely complete your dog within the guidelines of the Animal Welfare Act 2006 due to behaviour, aggression or otherwise, we will call you to let you know.
What if i miss my appointment?
The missed appointment is charged at £20 because the time is reserved for your dog and you need to cancel it at least 24 hours before the appointment. If you do miss your appointment and haven’t cancelled at least 24 hours before then you will need to pay the fee before your next booking.
